Getting started

Q. What do I do first?

When you launch the app you see the ring screen. You start with no gems. Tap “Choose Gem & Depth” and pick a gem and Depth 1 to start a mini-game. Once gems are on the ring you can also double-tap a gem to play the same game (a single tap shows information, and you can swipe to rotate the ring).

Q. How many games are there?

World 1 has one mini-game per gem — four in total.

GemMini-gameWhat you do
RubyGlass TraceFollow the green dot using the crosshair and the full-screen guides. Three cracks and the run fails.
SapphireKurukuru WorldStarts automatically. Find and tap pairs that spin the same way until the board is clear.
DiamondGlass BreakStarts automatically. Tap each red dot before its time runs out.
ObsidianCrusher RoomBreak as many glass plates as you can in 10 seconds. Three taps per plate; hitting the yellow weak point adds to your score.

Q. What are depths, and how do I open the next one?

Depths are difficulty steps, 1 to 6, tracked separately for each gem. Clearing a depth opens the next depth for that gem — so reaching Depth 3 with Ruby does not move Sapphire past Depth 1. From Depth 4 on, you also need the World 1 unlock described below.

What’s free, and what the purchase covers

Q. How much can I play for free?

All four mini-games are free at Depths 1–3. Gems earned in that range go up to 3.00 ct. There is no stamina system, no play limit and no advertising.

Q. What does the purchase include?

“Unlock World 1 Depths 4–6” is the app’s only in-app purchase: a single non-consumable, one-time purchase. It lets you take on Depths 4–6 for all four gems in World 1. It is not a subscription, and there are no consumable items. The price shown in the App Store for your country or region is the one that applies.

Q. Does buying it give me gems?

No. The purchase only grants access to Depths 4–6. Gems themselves are not for sale. Every gem comes from how you play, and nothing is awarded by random draw. Even after purchasing, a gem whose earlier depths you have not cleared still cannot start at Depth 4.

Q. How do I get a 20.00 ct gem?

At Depth 6, earn an S grade three times in a row with the same gem under the same rules version. A Depth 6 S grade that does not meet that condition awards 19.99 ct. Buying the unlock alone does not produce one.

Gems and your collection

Q. Do smaller gems disappear?

No. The ring shows the largest single gem of each kind, and every other gem stays in the Gem Box, where you can sort by kind, carat or the order you found them. If two gems weigh the same, the one you found first is shown on the ring.

Q. Is “ct” a real carat weight?

No. Carats here are a scale for your results in the game. They do not represent the weight, value or grading of a real gemstone, and the on-screen size is a stylised scale proportional to the cube root of the carat value.

Purchases and restoring

Q. Do I have to buy again after changing devices or reinstalling?

No. As long as you are signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy, use Settings → Purchases → “Restore Purchases” (or “Restore Purchases” on the purchase screen). Restoring brings back the World 1 unlock only — it does not bring back gems or play records.

Q. I bought it but the depths are still locked.

Please try these in order:

  1. Check that your device is online.
  2. On the purchase screen, tap “Check Connection Again”.
  3. If nothing changes, run “Restore Purchases”.
  4. App Store processing can take a little while. Wait a few minutes and relaunch the app.

If it still does not work, send us your device, iOS version, app version and build, and any message shown on screen by email to tamor@sapp.sakura.ne.jp. Billing records and refunds are handled between you and Apple (Apple Support).

Q. Do I need an internet connection?

Not to play. Depths 1–3 work offline. A connection is needed only to fetch the price, to buy, to restore a purchase and to confirm your unlock status.

Save data

Q. Where are my gems stored?

Only on your device. There is no iCloud sync and no cloud backup, so deleting the app also deletes your gems and play records.

Q. Can I keep a copy of my save data?

Yes. Settings → “Saving & Restoring Gems” → “Export Save Data” exports your save as a JSON file that you can save or share wherever you like. Keeping that file safe is up to you.

Q. How do I put an exported file back?

Use Settings → “Saving & Restoring Gems” → “Import Save Data”. Importing is only possible while your collection is empty — once you own even one gem, the option is disabled. Import on a new device or after reinstalling, before you start playing.

Q. What should I watch out for when changing or erasing a device?

Other questions

Q. When can I play World 2?

World 2 currently shows a “Coming soon” notice only and has no playable content. It is not part of the World 1 purchase, and we cannot promise a release date.

Q. Which devices are supported?

iPhone and iPad running iOS / iPadOS 17.0 or later. The app is portrait-only.

Q. My device gets warm, or the visuals change while I play.

Tamor adjusts rendering quality automatically based on load, temperature and Low Power Mode. Ray tracing applies only to the gem currently selected on the ring, on supported GPUs, and falls back to standard rendering in Low Power Mode or when the device is hot. Lower rendering quality never changes time limits or reward conditions. You can change these under Settings → “Graphics” (“Animate Window Light”, “Ray Tracing”, “Quality”).

Q. Where do I send questions or bug reports?

Email tamor@sapp.sakura.ne.jp. Including your device, iOS version, app version and build, the steps you took, what you expected, what happened, and a screenshot if you have one helps a lot.

About the TestFlight beta

Everything below applies to the TestFlight beta, not to the public App Store release. If you have not received an invitation, you can skip this section — no invitation link is distributed on this page.

Q. How long can I use a beta build?

Apple makes a TestFlight build unavailable to testers 90 days after it is distributed. If your build expires, please wait for the next one (Apple’s documentation).

Q. How do I send feedback?

From the TestFlight app, or by taking a screenshot inside the beta app and sending feedback on the spot. We review that feedback and crash information through App Store Connect. See the TestFlight section of the privacy policy for details.

Q. Will I be charged if I test a purchase?

No. Apple states that apps installed from TestFlight automatically operate in a sandbox environment for in-app purchases. No real payment is taken, and a purchase made in the beta is separate from a purchase in the App Store version. To play the public release you would buy it again through the App Store.

Q. Does my beta save data carry over?

The TestFlight build and the App Store build are installed separately. Before deleting the beta, export your data with Settings → “Saving & Restoring Gems” → “Export Save Data”.
